19th November Nefydd Sulwen was placed 1st & foal Champion at Blaenavon & District show

5th Nov Nefydd Sulwen was placed 1st & Reserve Champion at NPS Area 29 foal show, also Bourneash Charisma placed 2nd in RPB

30th October Nefydd Sulwen was placed 4th in a very strong filly Class at Welsh National Foal Show.

7th August  Rockbury Patriot 2yr old colt has been sold to Christopher Davies & Keith Poulter of the  Daukester & Akadame Stud, where he will be their stud stallion, wishing Chris & Keith the very best of luck with Patriot.

7th July International Show, Congratulations to Megan Williams & Family with Rockbury Remedy, Reserve Mini champion, We were very pleased with our own Rockbury Cherish, 3rd in the yearling filly class.

3rd July, We enjoyed a fabulous weekend in Rechterfeld North Germany, where Steve judged some lovely welsh ponies at  Weser-Ems Regional show, we were made very welcome and met some lovely People, many thanks to all show organisers for making us so welcome!

21st may Rockbury Patriots 1st outing this season as a 2yr old at Tredegar Show, placed 1st & Champion.

9th May  Daughter Robyn Gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, weighing 10lb, his name is Jenson, mother and baby doing well,

2nd april its been a long hard winter but spring has finally  arrived! we are expecting a new grandson in 3 weeks time. The 3yr old colt Llanarth Goldblend is spending the summer at Daukester Stud with Christopher Davies. We look forward to attending shows and seeing all old friends, good luck to everyone for the coming season!!!

News 2010

14th November Rockbury Patriot attended his first show at Gwent Area Association show, he was placed 1st in the yearling class, was champion sec B , reserve youngstock champion & reserve supreme of show.  Rockbury Cherish was 2nd in the filly foal class.

25th july Gigman Lady-in-Red Sec B 11yr old mare attended Gelligaer show, 1st show since winning many championships as a 3yr old, she was placed 2nd in mare class and behaved as if she had never been away from the showring.

25th July Blewins Jammy (PBA coloured mare) attended her 1st ever show at Gelligaer and was placed 2nd in hand in a good class of coloureds.

18th June Rockbury Taragon was placed 5th in NPS Novice WHP Qualifyer out of 30 entries at Three Counties show on his first outing, ridden by Emily Langford and owned by Tracy Hook, well done !!!

15th May 2010  Pyrgll Danyboy was placed 1st in the ridden C & D class at Tredegar WPCA show

9th May 2010  2yr old Sec B colt Llanarth Goldblend had his 1st outing this year and was placed 2nd at Hill Ponies of wales show.

News 2009

19th Dec 2009 sec D, Pyrgll Danny Boy attended his first show under saddle at Sunnybank Equestrian centre, where he won two 1st placings and a championship.

29th August Llanarth Goldblend was placed 1st and Champion at Bedwelty Agricultural show and was awarded a bronze medal ( 1st time shown to date)

20th July Daukester Simi was placed 4th in a good class of 3yr old Fillies at the Royal Welsh Show

7th July) Robyn gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, his name is Alfie Lewis-Jones and he weighed in at a very healthy 9lbs 1oz, (photo at 9 months old)

5thJuly) Daukestar Simi attended Llanrhydian Marsh medal show where she was 1st and Youngstock Champion.

1st july)  We have sadly had a totally uneventful 2009 showing season so far, due to so much work to do here at home on the farm, we have not attended any shows to date, however we very much look forward to showing some of our youngstock towards the end of the season.

We very much welcome Pyrgll Danny Boy, Sec D 5yr old by Avonvalley Roadrage x Penllwynuchel Helledd, with thanks to the Thompson family for very kindly allowing us to purchase Danny Boy as  daughter Robyns  future ridden prospect, he will be broken by Robyn and hopefully shown as a novice through the winter.

30th nov) Rockbury Prada was 1st and champion at Wales and Border counties

26th oct)Rockbury Prada was placed 2nd in the filly foal class at the Welsh National foal show

10th Sept) We returned from Ireland today where we delivered Astral Just a Dream and Nefydd Einion to their new home at Tyrrellspass Stud, Many thanks to Catherine, Charlie and family for making us so welcome and showing us their lovely ponies.

26th july) Daukester Simi was youngstock  champion and reserve overall champion   at Blaenau Gwent show, pictured below with judge Mr Kelvin Williams(Celton Stud) and Councilor for Blaenau Gwent.

Nefydd Einion was placed 2nd in Yearling colt class at Blaenau Gwent Show.

25th July) Rockbury Bolero, 4yr old Stallion, Cottrell Oriana x Eyarth Figaro, owned by Mrs Gillian Sarker in Yorkshire, attended his 1st show under saddle, he won his ridden class and went on to win the in hand M&M class, qualifying for the Royal London show at Peterbourough. Congratulations to mrs Sarker and family.

22nd July) Rockbury Fantasia was placed 3rd in 3yr old filly class at the Royal Welsh show, Congratulations to her owners Melanie and Warren Saunders.

Berrington Inspiration  son of Freelance was placed 3rd at the Royal Welsh, congratulations to  the James family.

 19th July) Daukester Simmi was 1st and Champion at Cwmddu show

11th May) Daukester simi was 1st and reserveChampion at Dowlais Show.

4thMay) We enjoyed a lovely day out at Glanusk Show, so nice to see all old friends, Daukester simi was placed 2nd in a very strong  2yr old filly class.

19th April) Nefydd Einion, 2007 colt by Nefydd Antur x Wynswood Enchantress by Downland Enchanter has arrived today, he will be shown with us on behalf of Margaret Edwards, Nefydd stud.

4TH March) We are  pleased to welcome Asral Just a Dream BRP Yearling filly, Sire: Sandbourne Royal Ensign, Dam: Jackets Dreaming by Jackets Indigo Blue, We look forward to showing her in 2008  on behalf of owner, Catherine Boylan of  Tyrrellspass stud, County Westmeath, Ireland.

22nd Feb)  Rockbury Romance  was exported to Poland  last week, to the Anapon Stud , she arrived safe and sound, thanks to the wonderfull care taken of her by Owen jones, we wish Anna and Merek Malinowski, the very best of luck with her and look forward to seeing lots of photos of her and also of her 2008 foal by Freelance.

Tregare Gwens Delight, Sec D 4yr old mare has arrived from the Brynmelys stud to be broken and schooled , she will be shown under saddle with Robyn later in the season.
